S-L-E-E-P and thanks

So, it's finally hit. I knew it would, but I was expecting it last week, so I'm happy that I lasted this long. Sleep deprivation is here and my brain is feeling a little bit like Mommy Mush. I'm completely functional in what I need to do, but little more seems to really be necessary. I can get up, get coffee, take care of the girls, but I really don't want to waste precious energy on making the bed. I make the bed every morning, but today, I just shut the door behind me as I left the bedroom. I'm secretly hoping to crawl back in at some point today! Emerson continues to want to eat about every two to three hours, even at night. Feeding her isn't really the problem, since I love seeing her little face any time of day, and she only eats about ten minutes at a time, it's actually falling back to sleep after I've left the bed that's difficult. It probably doesn't help that I woke up at 4 am with that distinct feeling of a sore throat coming on. I'm sure it's just a symptom of the lack of sleep and I'm not really getting sick, but not fun, nonetheless.

Okay, enough of my little pity party! I realized last night that we've had so many people call, stop by and email to wish us well. Once again, it is so nice to know the support we have from family and friends. We've received cards from as far away as Auntie Pat in Californina and Aunt Sue in Florida, had Andy's friends from work over to bring us some gifts, and Kristi down the street brought us the most delicious meal last week. I still need to get the recipe for the strawberry cake she made. I could eat a whole one right now!!! We've had more friends over than I can write about and we're expecting more friends today (maybe I will make the bed :-) Needless to say, Andy and I truly appreciate all of the love and encouragement we've received. Thanks to all who have sent emails, cards or have just been thinking about us! It means the world to us.

Kerry
