The end table...

Image
...it's the new couch! And don't think she does this just when we're not looking. That's right, she pounds on the table to get our attention and then just L-O-V-E-S it when we gasp and tell her not to do it. With a little giggle, she's up all the way on it with a look of proud accomplishment.

Park Time

Image
Here are just some random pics from the part last weekend. Not much exciting happened this week, so there aren't many posts.

Roodle - Noodle

Emme was originally called the Roodle because she liked to be held close in her baby carrier like a kangaroo. Now she's called the Noodle because she never stops moving. I am ALL for taking her to the park to let her wear herself out so that she'll nap and get some rest. See for yourself...

Big Girls...

Image
Awwwwwww... this picture is so great! Nooooo.... not because the girls aren't fighting. Nooooo.... not because they are loving all of the pictures of Grandma and Grandpa. Nooooo.... not because it gave me time to drink my latte. It's GREAT because it means that Addison is potty trained. No more diapers. CHA - CHIIIIIIIIIIING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mommy can drink her latte and afford to get herself a pool now ;-)

Sleep-overs

Image
We think Addison might be getting old enough to sleep over at Nana and Papa's house, so they put a bed together for her. She thinks it's a great deal, but I'm wondering what kind of kool-aid they're drinking... Nana said it was much better than the original option... * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * kidding... just kidding, Nana... :-)

Busted!!!

Whaaa?!?! Andy, you mean you can tell that 3,681 of the 4,200 visitors to the site are from my computer... you NEVER told me. Friends... Daddy's been drinking too much of the "kool-aid" and only wishes he knew who visited our blog. That's why we like comments so much. Besides, you know you love you some Kevin and big wasp action, so comment away!!! meh... or don't. I'm good either way and will keep a-postin' ;-) K

I know you're lurking...

No comments on the Kevin Bacon look alike contest? come on, peeps. I know you're watching, I see the ticker at the bottom. (deep down in the blogspot datawarehouse it tells me who you are too...bwwahahahaa [evil laugh]).

Oh, Emme!

Better than scorpions... I think not!

Lake time

Image
As promised yesterday, we have plenty of fun pictures from the lake today. We went out early around 9:00 and both Addison and Emerson L-O-V-E-D the water. We only spent a few hours running the boat around before it got hot, but the trip was a success. Addison was brave and went all the way into the water, while Emme only played on the boat deck. Mostly Emme stayed on the deck because we realized we need a better life jacket for her. We'll be getting a new one tomorrow. All in all, a successful trip and it was great to be back on the water!!!

Happy 4th of July

Image
We had such a great day today. Of course, it started with putting the girls in blue little shirts with stars on them and adorable skirts!!! They were really cute, and we tried getting some good pics, but it didn't work out. After picture time, the girls and I went to our local parade with my good friend and her daughter who is only a few months older than Addison. We drove down and found a good little spot on the route, but you could tell we were newbies at the whole parade thing. We brought strollers, but forgot about chairs. We used our critical thinking skills though and swiped the daycare blankets out of the back of my car that I didn't take out from the day before. Thank goodness we remembered snacks and juice boxes. But we were outnumbered adults to children, so our arms got sore holding someone all of the time. We also didn't think about the candy that gets thrown during parades. All of the older kids had their bags ready and were much quicker than we were. Notice in...

Our First Parade

Image
Addison and Emerson's school held a 4th of July Parade today and of course Nana and I had to go to take pictures. It was great! The girls both marched in their own way... even the infants took part in the parade by being pushed around three to a crib down the parade route. We hope you like the pictures!!!

Gee... thanks cousin Thomas :-)

The girls were so excited about "their" new birthday present, they couldn't wait for it to get opened. P.S. Peggy... thanks so much for the present!!! I'd send you a personalized note in the mail, but it looks like I'll be breaking up fights for the next 16 years or so :P
