Fun Times

This weekend we went to a birthday party for our friends who have two little girls born within a month of both Addison and Emme. We had a great time playing with them and Addison really liked their toys. Emme had fun watching their little border collie play with a ball. It was the first smile we had seen out of her for quite a while.





This is also Andy's birthday week. Addison and I made peanut butter cookies and decorated them. We also made a cake, that I must say will qualify for World's Ugliest if I chose to enter it in the running. Addison picked out all of the sprinkles and the saying, but the frosting job was 100% me! Yep... I take all the credit (mental note, don't buy the cheap frosting when you know it won't work!!!)!

Tomorrow I'll get up and bake cinnamon rolls for Andy, but I've promised him they will be pretty and tasty. I'll let you know how it goes.

... it was the top layer that doesn't look so hot...

   Well, we finally made it to Arkansas after a very, very, very, very long night. There was on-and-off driving, sleeping (well, it was really a lot of little naps) on the couch, the table seat, my real bed for about two hours, then back to the table seat. But we made it!    On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, we played with Billy and EJ, built forts, and spent a lot of time on the lake. But today, Billy and EJ were back in school and my sisters and I had nothing to do. So Uncle Gannon took us to Crystal Bridges. We saw some really cool things, went on some trails, and got lost for about half an hour. But it was worth it!     We are leaving on Thursday, so we have one more day to have fun with our cousins and then it's off to the next state and the next adventure. ~ Emme

DISNEY (part 2)

Day Three started out EARLY!  We had 7:30 reservations at Chef Mickey, so we left Nana and Papa to sleep in and we headed out for our next adventure.  Tons. Of. Fun. AGAIN!!  The girls loved dancing around and thought it was super cool that we let them have as much syrup and whipped cream on their pancakes and hot cocoa as they wanted! Here are the girls dancing around after breakfast. Donald was a definite favorite! But Goofy really got Emme's attention.  They were fast friends!! After breakfast, we decided to relax around the pool for a bit before heading to Hollywood Studios.  Addison got up the nerve to go down the super long water slide.  It was really cool to watch her do that!  Emme wasn't quite as brave, but loved spending time in the pool! After the pool, we all headed back to our rooms and the girls took a long nap.  They had been going so fast, they finally needed time to crash!!
