4 month check-up

Emerson went for her four month well baby check yesterday. She weighed in at 14.5 pounds and measured 24.5 inches. That puts her in the 50th percentile for weight and the 75th percentile for height. Check here if you want to see the chart they use. Scroll down to where it says SET 1 and then select the link for girls (third one down). It's always kind of interesting to me to look.

Emme also got four shots yesterday and she did not like them at all. The nurse that gave them to her usually does a great job of giving them quickly. Yesterday, she hit a vein as she was pulling out the last needle for her last shot and unfortunately, it really hurt Emme. The little girl didn't even cry for her first set of shots, but let me tell you... we've had a long day and night this time. I finally got my first smile around 10:00 last night, so I know all will be well soon. I think I may send Andy to do her next set of shots.

   Well, we finally made it to Arkansas after a very, very, very, very long night. There was on-and-off driving, sleeping (well, it was really a lot of little naps) on the couch, the table seat, my real bed for about two hours, then back to the table seat. But we made it!    On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, we played with Billy and EJ, built forts, and spent a lot of time on the lake. But today, Billy and EJ were back in school and my sisters and I had nothing to do. So Uncle Gannon took us to Crystal Bridges. We saw some really cool things, went on some trails, and got lost for about half an hour. But it was worth it!     We are leaving on Thursday, so we have one more day to have fun with our cousins and then it's off to the next state and the next adventure. ~ Emme

DISNEY (part 2)

Day Three started out EARLY!  We had 7:30 reservations at Chef Mickey, so we left Nana and Papa to sleep in and we headed out for our next adventure.  Tons. Of. Fun. AGAIN!!  The girls loved dancing around and thought it was super cool that we let them have as much syrup and whipped cream on their pancakes and hot cocoa as they wanted! Here are the girls dancing around after breakfast. Donald was a definite favorite! But Goofy really got Emme's attention.  They were fast friends!! After breakfast, we decided to relax around the pool for a bit before heading to Hollywood Studios.  Addison got up the nerve to go down the super long water slide.  It was really cool to watch her do that!  Emme wasn't quite as brave, but loved spending time in the pool! After the pool, we all headed back to our rooms and the girls took a long nap.  They had been going so fast, they finally needed time to crash!!
