A present, a party and a tattoo

Addison got a present in the mail from her Great-Aunt Val! She loved it and hasn't let "Sunshine" out of her sight since she got her! It is her new best friend. Thanks so much Aunt Val!!!!!






We went to a birthday party today and had to skip Addison's nap to make it there. The party was great, but Addison was a bit of a stinker because she was tired. She refused to wear her dress and only wanted shorts.

***Drama Alert***

She actually fell onto the ground with huge tears because she wanted the dress off so badly. Did I mention it took both Andy and me to wrestle her down to get it on in the first place?!? What were we thinking?!? She has quite the opinion on clothes these days. Beyond that, it seems that she definitely knows the word cake, though. We asked her in the car if she wanted cake and it was the first smile we'd had in over four hours.



Finally, Addison got a great tat this weekend. Daddy gave it to her and it's pretty sweet, if you ask him! Andy is really very proud of himself. I really think he's just excited that he got to play with dinosaurs (the theme of the birthday party and a goodie bag gift) instead of pink things... tee... hee... I expect gasps and admonishments from the g-parents soon.

Sounds like fun! I knew a little girl about that age who didn't want a dress on either! Hummmmm might be genetic?

Hmmm...possibly so, but look how great that girl turned out in spite of her aversion to dresses! :) And, she'll even wear dresses when the occasion calls for it now.

   Well, we finally made it to Arkansas after a very, very, very, very long night. There was on-and-off driving, sleeping (well, it was really a lot of little naps) on the couch, the table seat, my real bed for about two hours, then back to the table seat. But we made it!    On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, we played with Billy and EJ, built forts, and spent a lot of time on the lake. But today, Billy and EJ were back in school and my sisters and I had nothing to do. So Uncle Gannon took us to Crystal Bridges. We saw some really cool things, went on some trails, and got lost for about half an hour. But it was worth it!     We are leaving on Thursday, so we have one more day to have fun with our cousins and then it's off to the next state and the next adventure. ~ Emme

DISNEY (part 2)

Day Three started out EARLY!  We had 7:30 reservations at Chef Mickey, so we left Nana and Papa to sleep in and we headed out for our next adventure.  Tons. Of. Fun. AGAIN!!  The girls loved dancing around and thought it was super cool that we let them have as much syrup and whipped cream on their pancakes and hot cocoa as they wanted! Here are the girls dancing around after breakfast. Donald was a definite favorite! But Goofy really got Emme's attention.  They were fast friends!! After breakfast, we decided to relax around the pool for a bit before heading to Hollywood Studios.  Addison got up the nerve to go down the super long water slide.  It was really cool to watch her do that!  Emme wasn't quite as brave, but loved spending time in the pool! After the pool, we all headed back to our rooms and the girls took a long nap.  They had been going so fast, they finally needed time to crash!!
