Night, Night
I'm knocking on wood, but Addison has always been really good about going to bed. We've had the same routine forever and it works for us. At 7:30 we tell Addison that it's time for bed and she can watch one Hi-5 song. We snuggle up together on the couch and watch the song. When it's time to go upstairs I give her a kiss and then Andy takes over. He brings her upstairs and reads her a story in her old bedroom and then takes her to get tucked in to her new bedroom. No matter if it's naptime or bedtime, she usually has to tell her friends good nite, and it's quite the group of friends. Below is a picture of all of them. Some nights, she falls right to sleep, but most nights she stays up with the light from her little birdie music player and talks to her friends. You can hear her over the monitor "lecturing" (as Andy puts it) and saying good night to her buddies, sometimes she tells them to "it-dow" (sit down) and sometimes she just giggles with them. It's really quite cute!
