Weekend Updates

Whew! We've been so busy this past week. It seems like every day we had new adventures, places to go and people to see, and through it all Emme and Addison have been troopers. I think we've taken them all over the city. Just in the past few days we've had to go to the vet to prepare Zeus for boarding, the doctor's office, hair appointments, and lots of shopping to prepare for our trip to Salt Lake City. I always forget how difficult it is to prepare to travel with a toddler and it's twice as much preparation now with a newborn. To top it off, Andy ended up traveling for work this past week, but we all survived. Andy and I even got out for a wonderful birthday dinner Saturday night. Perhaps the best part of the past week though was getting Emerson's pictures taken. I think if you click here, it should take you to the website where you can view all of the pictures. Andy and Addison made me rice crispy treats for my birthday celebration... definitely the best present!



And I made myself a bracelet with the girls' names on it. Thanks again to Wendy for teaching me how to make jewelry!

   Well, we finally made it to Arkansas after a very, very, very, very long night. There was on-and-off driving, sleeping (well, it was really a lot of little naps) on the couch, the table seat, my real bed for about two hours, then back to the table seat. But we made it!    On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, we played with Billy and EJ, built forts, and spent a lot of time on the lake. But today, Billy and EJ were back in school and my sisters and I had nothing to do. So Uncle Gannon took us to Crystal Bridges. We saw some really cool things, went on some trails, and got lost for about half an hour. But it was worth it!     We are leaving on Thursday, so we have one more day to have fun with our cousins and then it's off to the next state and the next adventure. ~ Emme

DISNEY (part 2)

Day Three started out EARLY!  We had 7:30 reservations at Chef Mickey, so we left Nana and Papa to sleep in and we headed out for our next adventure.  Tons. Of. Fun. AGAIN!!  The girls loved dancing around and thought it was super cool that we let them have as much syrup and whipped cream on their pancakes and hot cocoa as they wanted! Here are the girls dancing around after breakfast. Donald was a definite favorite! But Goofy really got Emme's attention.  They were fast friends!! After breakfast, we decided to relax around the pool for a bit before heading to Hollywood Studios.  Addison got up the nerve to go down the super long water slide.  It was really cool to watch her do that!  Emme wasn't quite as brave, but loved spending time in the pool! After the pool, we all headed back to our rooms and the girls took a long nap.  They had been going so fast, they finally needed time to crash!!
