Where to start?

Okay... it's Friday night and the girls are acting crazy and ganging up against Andy by giggling and climbing all over him. I'm being the wiped out creative wife by letting them while I take pictures.

As for updates, like I said in the previous post, Addison and Emme are doing great and are a riot as always. Here are some updates.

Addison: We had our first ever parent-teacher conference Her teachers checked off the "2 Year Old Developmental Checklist" and Addison is doing great. We're starting to work on things like learning her middle and last name and letter recognition, but Andy and I both firmly believe that this age is still for playing and learning through experiencing and not for "schooling". On the little report they gave us, Miss Cindy wrote, "Addison is a very quiet and loving child. She loves to please. Gets along with everyone. Very helpful, loves books, music, Jesus time and playing with Mia. She is a joy to have in our class." One of Addy's favorite things is playing with her kitchen and playing dress up. Here is a picture of her in her apron and chef hat. We put it on at least 3 times a day. She loves hats so much we put in a special order to Grandma for new ones and they came in the mail today.

She is still BIG into Hi-5 and likes to "nuggle" (snuggle) with Mommy and Daddy especially at night when we say our prayers. She is also very helpful around the house. This is what I saw when I got up this morning. I wondered where her pajamas went to the day before. She put them "in" the washing machine.

Emme: Emme is an absolute sweetie. She is very loving and when Andy or I walk into the room if we've been gone for a while we know we need to go right to her or she gets very upset. Whenever she sees either one of us she throws her hands and feet waaaaaay out, lights up with a huge grin and just waits for our love. She is sitting up unassisted now for as long as she wants and she is a big fan of "Glowy" the gloworm and her teething toys. Emme is still sporting her mini mohawk and is also starting to babble a lot. We're still thinking that she has a ways to go before crawling, but we'll keep you posted. And though she loves to be held and rocked by Andy and me, Addison is definitely her FAVORITE person. No matter what mood Emme is in, if Addison comes up to her and smiles, Emme will smile back in a heartbeat! We've also started calling her Roo or the Roodle, kind of like kangaroo. I hope it doesn't stick, but this picture sums up why we call her that. She loves being in her little snugli and close to her family!

Life is good.
