Florida Part 1

Oh my goodness, where do I start. We had such a fun time in Ft. Lauderdale this past week. Andy's family went to celebrate the wedding of his cousin Elvia to a wonderful man she's known since high school. We took advantage of the fact that his parents, aunt and brother and sister would be there and extended our trip to be a full week. We left last Friday and the girls did great on the plane both to Houston and then to Lauderdale. Emme slept most of the way and Addison had her own seat for the first time, which she loved. We woke up at 3:30 am to get to Florida, but it was worth it. We spent the first evening at the rehearsal dinner in Miami and the second day was all about going to the beach for the first time and the wedding. Addison had a BLAST playing on the beach and dancing until 10:00 at night! On Sunday we had a wonderful afternoon and evening with friends and family and Emme went into the pool for the first time. She loved it!!! She automatically started splashing and grinning, it was definitely fun to watch. Here are some pictures of the rehearsal, the wedding and the swimming.

What great pictures and what a smile on Addison's face! She crinkles all up! Emme seems very comfortable with everyone........

   Well, we finally made it to Arkansas after a very, very, very, very long night. There was on-and-off driving, sleeping (well, it was really a lot of little naps) on the couch, the table seat, my real bed for about two hours, then back to the table seat. But we made it!    On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, we played with Billy and EJ, built forts, and spent a lot of time on the lake. But today, Billy and EJ were back in school and my sisters and I had nothing to do. So Uncle Gannon took us to Crystal Bridges. We saw some really cool things, went on some trails, and got lost for about half an hour. But it was worth it!     We are leaving on Thursday, so we have one more day to have fun with our cousins and then it's off to the next state and the next adventure. ~ Emme

DISNEY (part 2)

Day Three started out EARLY!  We had 7:30 reservations at Chef Mickey, so we left Nana and Papa to sleep in and we headed out for our next adventure.  Tons. Of. Fun. AGAIN!!  The girls loved dancing around and thought it was super cool that we let them have as much syrup and whipped cream on their pancakes and hot cocoa as they wanted! Here are the girls dancing around after breakfast. Donald was a definite favorite! But Goofy really got Emme's attention.  They were fast friends!! After breakfast, we decided to relax around the pool for a bit before heading to Hollywood Studios.  Addison got up the nerve to go down the super long water slide.  It was really cool to watch her do that!  Emme wasn't quite as brave, but loved spending time in the pool! After the pool, we all headed back to our rooms and the girls took a long nap.  They had been going so fast, they finally needed time to crash!!
