Nightmares

Poor Addison! She started having "bad dreams" last month. I don't think there is much in life that is scarier than remembering a first nightmare and how real it seems at the time. The little girl even did the "ugly cry" where she couldn't breathe and talk because she was so scared. The good news is that she couldn't remember the dream... the bad news is... she couldn't remember the dream. We felt helpless and tried to explain to her that she was safe. I think I even made up a story about special Mommy "dust" that I keep in my necklace and could use it to sprinkle around her bed so she would be safe and have wonderful dreams. Yeah... that didn't work. Andy couldn't believe I even tried :-). Regardless, she spent the night in Mommy's bed for the first time in her life. She's back to sleeping in her own room tonight, so everyone send her sweet dreams!

Ooh - poor little girl. Perhaps Emme should sing to her sister before going to bed?!!

   Well, we finally made it to Arkansas after a very, very, very, very long night. There was on-and-off driving, sleeping (well, it was really a lot of little naps) on the couch, the table seat, my real bed for about two hours, then back to the table seat. But we made it!    On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, we played with Billy and EJ, built forts, and spent a lot of time on the lake. But today, Billy and EJ were back in school and my sisters and I had nothing to do. So Uncle Gannon took us to Crystal Bridges. We saw some really cool things, went on some trails, and got lost for about half an hour. But it was worth it!     We are leaving on Thursday, so we have one more day to have fun with our cousins and then it's off to the next state and the next adventure. ~ Emme

DISNEY (part 2)

Day Three started out EARLY!  We had 7:30 reservations at Chef Mickey, so we left Nana and Papa to sleep in and we headed out for our next adventure.  Tons. Of. Fun. AGAIN!!  The girls loved dancing around and thought it was super cool that we let them have as much syrup and whipped cream on their pancakes and hot cocoa as they wanted! Here are the girls dancing around after breakfast. Donald was a definite favorite! But Goofy really got Emme's attention.  They were fast friends!! After breakfast, we decided to relax around the pool for a bit before heading to Hollywood Studios.  Addison got up the nerve to go down the super long water slide.  It was really cool to watch her do that!  Emme wasn't quite as brave, but loved spending time in the pool! After the pool, we all headed back to our rooms and the girls took a long nap.  They had been going so fast, they finally needed time to crash!!
