Halloween 2009

Image
Halloween 2009 was a complete success! It started with a costume parade at the girls school on Friday and then Friday night we went to "trunk or treat" at the high school. All of the high school organizations (Student Council, FFA, Football, Spanish Club, etc.) decorate the trunk of their car and kids walk from car to car trick or treating. It was a blast. This morning, we decorated our pumpkins with glitter glue decorations and then went to visit Nana and Papa. Considering tomorrow is Addison's birthday, it's been quite a full weekend!

Fall School Pictures

Here they are! Once again, I think the school did a GREAT job of capturing pictures of the girls. They look so cute!!! p.s. Please ignore the "P" word on Addison's shirt... remember, Nana bought these ;-) just kidding, Nana!!!

Addison's Birthday Invitation

Image
Addison and I worked on her birthday invitation yesterday and today. Yesterday, she picked out her theme, which is going to be Hello Kitty - yes, for the second year in a row!!! Today after school I let her put stickers on them and had her write her friends names on them to deliver tomorrow. They turned out really cute. If anyone is looking for a great online place to customize invitations (and then either have them send you the jpeg or have them directly print at CVS or Walmart), I HIGHLY recommend this site!!! The power of goats

... who would have ever thought goats would dissolve little girls into fits of laughter...

Sweetberry Farms

Addison, Emerson, Daddy, Papa, Nana and I went to Sweetberry Farms this weekend and had tons of fun. The pictures say more than words can, but needless to say, the goats were the girls' farvorite, with the corn maze and horse riding tied for a close second.

The girls, Papa and I all went to our first pep rally this week. I even tried my hand at making the girls some spirit shirts with iron on letters and decals the night before. That's a story for a different day, but needless to say, the letters were almost smarter than me... and neither Andy nor I understood the directions. Anyway, we had tons of fun watching the football players, volleyball players, dancers and cheerleaders all show their school spirit for Vista Ridge High School's homecoming (my old high school I used to work at!). Probably the best part of the whole morning was them being able to see Rashel, their babysitter from this summer. Addison couldn't stop staring at her :-) After the pep rally, we took the girls out for bagels and juice before going to school. It was a great way to spend a fall Friday morning!!!
