Wordless on a Wednesday...

We're in for it now!

That's right! Addison saw a pony on television (Hi-5 of course) turned around and asked me if we could have one. I did what any sane mother would do and immediately told her to go ask her daddy (the voice of reason in our house these days)! K

Okay... it's Friday night and the girls are acting crazy and ganging up against Andy by giggling and climbing all over him. I'm being the wiped out creative wife by letting them while I take pictures. As for updates, like I said in the previous post, Addison and Emme are doing great and are a riot as always. Here are some updates. Addison: We had our first ever parent-teacher conference Her teachers checked off the "2 Year Old Developmental Checklist" and Addison is doing great. We're starting to work on things like learning her middle and last name and letter recognition, but Andy and I both firmly believe that this age is still for playing and learning through experiencing and not for "schooling". On the little report they gave us, Miss Cindy wrote, "Addison is a very quiet and loving child. She loves to please. Gets along with everyone. Very helpful, loves books, music, Jesus time and playing with Mia. She is a joy to have in our class...

Life Is Busy

Please continue to check back here. I promise to get back in the habit of posting more often. I have tons of stories about Addison telling us how to drive properly and Emme trying to convince us that nighttime really IS for being awake, but I just don't have the time (or energy!) right now. I'm exhausted, school is really in full swing and as luck would have it my computer crashed yesterday leaving me feeling like the stars have aligned against me... YIKES! I'll post as soon as I can, Kerry

Addison likes to be creative with stickers. Emme playing with Minnie. She also found out that she has a tongue. It hasn't gone back into her mouth since.

Emme's 6 month stats

Emme went for her 6-month doctor visit last week. Here are the important stats: 17 pounds - almost 90th percentile 27 1/2 inches - almost 95th percentile 2 shots - definitely not as bad as the four last time The doctor pronounced her absolutely perfect. We don't go back for more shots until 12 months. Emme also started eating solids "for real" this week. We've been playing around with the spoon and some fruits for a while, but she decided in the past few days that she really likes them and has started grabbing for the spoon and bowl. I have to say that she is a bit more picky than Addison was. She prefers her meals warmed up a little instead of room temperature... and goodness!... don't try to give her anything cold. I'll have to try to get a picture of her face when I give her cold fruit. It's the "Are you crazy Momma! How could a little diva like me eat anything but warmed up food. Go back and serve me like the queen I am" kind of lo...
