RV Trip Tips

Tip #1: Velcro - Velcro your stuff down! If you have any small boxes that need to stay on the table, glue some velcro to the table and a strip to the box then put them together and they’ll stick like glue (or like velcro)!

Tip #2: Mighty Mugs - So, some people have a problem with spilling things. And sometimes there’s a big problem. So I recommend going on Amazon and and order a Mighty Mug. It’s a cup that can’t tip over. It’s awesome, right?

Tip #3:  Butter - We have found that when you open the fridge, butter falls out.  So.  Secure your butter!

Tip #4:  Fidget spinners - They will roll all over your floor if you don’t put them in a safe spot.

Tip #5:  Shoes - You should get some shoe hangers to put your shoes in so they don’t go tumbling all over the place.  Momma hates that.

Tip #6:  Turns - Go SLOW on turns.  Everything on the tables and couches fly everywhere if you don’t go slow on the turns.

Tip #7:  Doors - If you don’t completely close doors, it will creak open and slam the walls and then hit the doorway and on and on.

Tip #8:  Wifi - The rv doesn’t get wifi. So we recommend downloading books and movies for the drive.

Tip #9:  Chores - Chores are helpful.  Each kid has her own chore/station to do chores on.  Sweeping, wiping tables, drying dishes.  Parents wash dishes, and empty the weird poop thingy.  Dad cooks.

Tip #10:  Have fun!!

All your thoughts seem so simple but it really takes a real road trip to truly understand the effects of motion and gravity. Been there, done that. The worst for us was when Aunt Pat joined us on our RV trip to Lake Hemet. She placed a bowl of pasta in the fridge and did not secure the fridge door. We still have the visual of pasta on the floor less than 1/10th of a mile from home.
