We've been sick...

December and January found our family pretty sick. It started out a few weeks before Christmas, as I wrote about earlier, with a basic cough. That cough turned in to croup, which turned in to borderline pneumonia and bronchitis... yuck! In the midst of that, the girls began to sleep in our room on the couch, which allows their chests/heads to be elevated, allowing them to breathe better than in there own room - and allow Mom and Dad to get to them easier when they awake 5,000 times a night! Though the girls have returned to sleeping in their own room and the sickness has left us, they still love the magic of our couch! Every chance they can, they try to nap on it. The only lingering problem is that Emme keeps falling off of it... and continues to sleep on the floor or cushions that are there to break the fall!




Poor thing! As long as she's comfortable, right?!?

   Well, we finally made it to Arkansas after a very, very, very, very long night. There was on-and-off driving, sleeping (well, it was really a lot of little naps) on the couch, the table seat, my real bed for about two hours, then back to the table seat. But we made it!    On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, we played with Billy and EJ, built forts, and spent a lot of time on the lake. But today, Billy and EJ were back in school and my sisters and I had nothing to do. So Uncle Gannon took us to Crystal Bridges. We saw some really cool things, went on some trails, and got lost for about half an hour. But it was worth it!     We are leaving on Thursday, so we have one more day to have fun with our cousins and then it's off to the next state and the next adventure. ~ Emme

DISNEY (part 2)

Day Three started out EARLY!  We had 7:30 reservations at Chef Mickey, so we left Nana and Papa to sleep in and we headed out for our next adventure.  Tons. Of. Fun. AGAIN!!  The girls loved dancing around and thought it was super cool that we let them have as much syrup and whipped cream on their pancakes and hot cocoa as they wanted! Here are the girls dancing around after breakfast. Donald was a definite favorite! But Goofy really got Emme's attention.  They were fast friends!! After breakfast, we decided to relax around the pool for a bit before heading to Hollywood Studios.  Addison got up the nerve to go down the super long water slide.  It was really cool to watch her do that!  Emme wasn't quite as brave, but loved spending time in the pool! After the pool, we all headed back to our rooms and the girls took a long nap.  They had been going so fast, they finally needed time to crash!!
