Emergency Room Visit

So, I have to say, it's nice to have great healthcare; we are very lucky. It's nice not to have to use it, but you really appreciate it when you do need it. Despite numerous scoldings, suggestions, redirects, etc., Emme chose last night to try to climb her restaurant style wooden booster chair....and this time it actually did tip over. She hit her head on the tile floor and the chair fell smack dab on her nose.

Here's how the math works:
Upset child+lots of blood coming from the nose+possible head trauma = lets scramble to the hospital.

Bottom line, 2 hours, 4 nurses, 1 radiologist, 6 x-rays, an ER doc, and $50 later, all is good, Emme is fine - except for a big bruise, and she got a 'fancy' bracelet. Happy start to the holiday weekend.

As an observer of the incident, I can tell you Emme didn't look this happy when it happened!! Amongst the blood were lots of tears...Addison also burst into tears cause everyone was so upset!

Sad to hear the Moll's holiday weekend began with high anxiety and a bit of trauma.

Happy to hear all is well, except for the 'big bruise' and the bruise is expected to heal.

Whew! Lesson learned? Let us know if Emme tries to climb the booster again.

   Well, we finally made it to Arkansas after a very, very, very, very long night. There was on-and-off driving, sleeping (well, it was really a lot of little naps) on the couch, the table seat, my real bed for about two hours, then back to the table seat. But we made it!    On Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, we played with Billy and EJ, built forts, and spent a lot of time on the lake. But today, Billy and EJ were back in school and my sisters and I had nothing to do. So Uncle Gannon took us to Crystal Bridges. We saw some really cool things, went on some trails, and got lost for about half an hour. But it was worth it!     We are leaving on Thursday, so we have one more day to have fun with our cousins and then it's off to the next state and the next adventure. ~ Emme

DISNEY (part 2)

Day Three started out EARLY!  We had 7:30 reservations at Chef Mickey, so we left Nana and Papa to sleep in and we headed out for our next adventure.  Tons. Of. Fun. AGAIN!!  The girls loved dancing around and thought it was super cool that we let them have as much syrup and whipped cream on their pancakes and hot cocoa as they wanted! Here are the girls dancing around after breakfast. Donald was a definite favorite! But Goofy really got Emme's attention.  They were fast friends!! After breakfast, we decided to relax around the pool for a bit before heading to Hollywood Studios.  Addison got up the nerve to go down the super long water slide.  It was really cool to watch her do that!  Emme wasn't quite as brave, but loved spending time in the pool! After the pool, we all headed back to our rooms and the girls took a long nap.  They had been going so fast, they finally needed time to crash!!
