The Moll's at Sweet Sky Farm

At about 5 1/2 months, we thought B was ready to try some table food. We started with bananas and rice cereal. At first she wasn't so excited about it. Then she thought the spoon might be interesting... Not long after, she started to get the hang of it. Now, four weeks later, she still really doesn't love to eat. She'd much rather have a rice husk and feed herself than eat pureed foods. I'm thinking about giving her puffs sooner than later...

Brennan is a pretty stoic little baby.  She's always FULL of smiles and is so easy, but she rarely gives a belly laugh.  The one person who can ALWAYS make her smile and laugh is Emme.  Those two are thick as thieves already.  I can't wait to see what they end up being like in ten years!  Here is Emme getting Brennan to laugh at her this morning at breakfast.  

Weight: 15 pounds, 2 ounces; 30th percentile Height: 27 inches (almost!); 81st percentile Head: 17 inches; 70th percentile And still completely in love with her sisters!

Our biggest girl turned SIX this week! And what an awesome week it was. On her actual birthday, we took her out for dinner and she chose to go to the "peanut place" - where you get to throw peanut shells on the floor. It was a really nice evening shared with Nana and Papa. Addison LOVED it when they sang to her and gave a big YAHOOOOO! And even though she turned SIX, she still loved waking up to big birthday balloons from Daddy. This year, Addison decided she wanted to have a Tangled (Rapunzel) theme for her birthday. We invited six of her closest friends and had the party at our house.  Some were from kindergarten and some were from her old school.  And of course, Nana and Papa were there! The girls decorated lanterns just like in the movie, painted sun-catchers and braided everyone's hair And Addison had a pink and purple cake! Overall, it was a SUPER fun day!!!

Today we went on Addison's first kindergarten field trip. It was to the local park where all the children were to be scientists and measure trees, explore similarities and differences between leaves, and analyze the local fauna. It was a huge success. I was able to chaperone and Brennan came with us. After their experiments, we had lunch together and played on the playground. Addison's favorite part was that her Momma got to be there... and that she FINALLY got to go on a school bus!

Our third annual visit to Trunk or Treat was much colder than usual, but still tons of fun. Each year we go to the local high school, where each of the clubs decorates a car in a theme, the high schoolers dress up like that theme, and give out candy to the kids. It's a safe alternative to traditional trick or treating, and even the police department and fire department come out to let kids look at and play on their vehicles. This year, Addison wanted to dress as a magical witch, Emme wanted to be a princess fairie and I got a cute little poodle outfit for Brennan. The girls thought I would be cute as a cat... and even though I'm not a huge cat fan... I did.
